Most people who've attended a music festival will tell you they've fallen in love and met their soulmate at at least one of them. But very few actually mean it and decide to marry that person! Our fateful meet cute took place on Halloween weekend, 2021 - the only year that Outside Lands Music Festival in Golden Gate Park would occur after summer ended. Alex, dressed up as a gladiator, laid eyes on Mindy, who was dressed up as "sexy", and sparks flew. Between the incredible tunes, immaculate friend crew (the reason for our introduction!), and magical forest setting, it was an electric encounter not soon to be forgotten. From there numbers were exchanged, flights booked (after Mindy left Alex on read for a week), and our relationship started.

We started slowly at first, with Alex in LA and Mindy in SF. We'd get a weekend together every couple of months and spend it building our own little world with good food, coffee, movies, Stanley, trips into nature, and making each other laugh for hours. Then one Sunday, while listening to records, Mindy made the best meal of Alex's life, and the rest is history.
